Ad-Watch

If you have the Plus edition (paid version), you will need to configure it to work best for you.

First we will configure the Ad-Watch that comes in the Plus edition.

1. Double click on the Ad-Watch icon.

2. You need to make sure that Active and Automatic are have green icons with the check mark in them. If they are red with an X, just click on them to turn them green.

3. Now click on the Tools Button shown above.

4. Then click on Options. Check “Load Ad-Watch on Windows startup. This will load Ad-Watch each time you reboot your computer so that the program runs all of the time.  Ad-Watch watches what is going on on your computer to help prevent spyware, adware, and malware infections.

5. Now scroll down to see more options. I like to leave them all checked.

6. The next set of options (scroll down), are optional. These are log files which you will probably never view but it wouldn’t hurt anything to allow Ad-Watch to log any of these events.

There are No more options to set for Ad-Watch.

Now to begin the configuration of Adaware SE Plus

1. Double click on the Adaware SE Plus icon on your desktop.

2. You may get a message like the one below if so then follow the next few steps to update Ad-Aware. If you do not see this message then click here to skip the update instructions.

3. Click Connect.

4. Then click on Ok to begin downloading the file (you must be connected to the internet to do this).

5. When the update is finished, click on Finish.

More to come soon for this tutorial... But this gets the Ad-Watch configured.
