Set your Windows 2000 login password to NEVER expire.
1. Click Start(1), Settings(2), then Control Panel(3).
2. Double Click on Users and Passwords.
3. Click on the “Advanced” tab at the top(1). Click on “Advanced” button in the middle of the box(2).
4. Click on “Users” folder so that you can view it in the right side window(1). Click once on your login name(2). The right click on that name. Right clicking will open a menu box. Click on “Properties”(3).
5. Check the box next to “Password never expires”(1). Then Click “OK”(2).
6. Pressing Ok will take you back to the window shown in Step 4. Just click the X in the top right corner of that window to close it. That takes you back to the window shown in Step 3. Click OK. To close the “Control Panel” window, click the X in the top right corner. That’s it! Now you will not be bothered by the expiring password in Windows 2000.
